As summer winds down on Quadra Island, two events anchor the turn of the season in the best possible way. Quadrapalooza, the island's beloved annual music festival, brings local and regional musicians together for a late-summer celebration. And hard on its heels comes the Annual Quadra Island Fall Fair in early September — a genuine island institution that's been on the community calendar for decades.

Together they make late August through early September a particularly good time to visit Quadra Island. The summer crowds begin to thin, the light softens, and the community comes together for a pair of events that feel very much like the island at its most itself.

Quadrapalooza

Quadrapalooza is an outdoor music festival that has built a loyal following over the years for its relaxed atmosphere and strong local lineup. It's a community event in the truest sense — organized by islanders, featuring islanders, and drawing a crowd that mixes longtime residents with visitors who've made it an annual pilgrimage. 

The Quadra Island Fall Fair

The Fall Fair is the kind of event that reminds you what community actually looks like. Agricultural displays, local produce, handmade goods, kids' competitions, and a genuine sense of celebration at the end of a productive summer. It typically takes place in early September and is one of the most anticipated events of the year for Quadra residents.
